ABOUT ME
The earliest manifestation of my interest in written and visual communication was kindergarten. A one page tale I'd titled “The Giant Pizza."
This was on my family box computer back in ’07 (five-year-old me had no idea what social media had in store for her).
The story was not memorable by any means, but my visual touches certainly were. After writing it, I meticulously formatted every word to alternate between red and yellow. Was it legible? No.
But it definitely sent the message that the story was about pizza.
Since then, my interest in visual communication has taken new forms. From middle school through college, I joined clubs and creative spaces that gave me a place to express my ideas. Having a voice mattered, but having a creative outlet mattered even more — and I’ve been living by that philosophy ever since.
I earned a Journalism degree from the University of Florida, specializing in Audience and Social Media. Since then, I’ve continued my work under tashasvisuals. My most recent project is Studio Atria, a branding studio dedicated to small businesses. Atria refers to the heart’s chambers, reflecting the studio’s mission: to capture the heart of every brand. Studio Atria allows me not only to tell stories visually, but also to connect with and serve my community.
Atria represents the same philosophy that I use throughout my work: creative work becomes meaningful when it reflects the heart behind it.
It’s the same instinct that led five-year-old me to color every word of that story in red and yellow.
